The goal of this group is to empower and inspire people living with depression, anxiety, worry, insecurities, or other mental and emotional challenges make the adjustments necessary to achieve their goals.
Using the sport of running as a vehicle for healthy change, we will learn and practice skills to help the mind, body, and spirit to work together to create a more full and balanced life.
Mindfulness, internal family systems, experiential, cognitive behavioral, and related approaches and techniques will be taught and practiced in this group. Attendance requires the desire to live a more positive and centered daily life.
Runners of all backgrounds and experience are welcome. It does not matter if you’re thinking about walking your first 5k or running marathons regularly. Weekly homework is designed to be completed alongside a couch to 5k program, which will render participants who are interested 5k ready upon graduation from the group.
We’ll celebrate our hard work by getting that medal together.
